Weekly meetings: we meet every Tuesday at POWER (309 5th Ave SE) from 2-5pm. The meeting is in two parts:
2-3pm is the Organizing meeting which is focused on internal organization, funding, and planning.
3-5pm is the General meeting which includes updates and discussion on current projects and events.
Both meeting are always open to the public and we would love to see you there!
Rolling Refuse Removal:
Weekly every Sunday from 12-4:30pm
Looking for volunteers who can help with picking up garbage & with trucks who can help transport bagged garbage to the dump from local encampments. If you want to get involved, please call our cleanup coordinator at 425-753-6644.
Volunteers meet at 12pm each Sunday at the Westside Co-op (921 Rogers St NW). After a brief safety training, folks will carpool to the cleanup site by 12:30. If you cannot arrive by 12:30, please call the cleanup coordinator for directions to that day’s cleanup site.
Mutual Aid Mondays:
Weekly on Mondays from 7:30-10pm at the parking lot encampment on the corner of Franklin St & State Ave.
We have partnered with other community groups to provide weekly survival support to downtown encampments. On Monday nights, we set up a tent in the parking lot next to the Billy Frank Jr Apartments to distribute food and survival supplies.
Ways to help:
—Volunteer to help distribute food and supplies. You can either show up and find us (we’ll be in the large event canopy tent with the Just Housing banner) or you can call Just Housing at 360-562-0239 to sign up for a shift.
—Cook a meal. We feed between 50-100 people every Monday so more food always helps! Call us to sign up to cover a meal for an upcoming Monday.
—Donate supplies, snacks, water, or coffee. You can drop off donations directly at the Just Housing canopy. You can also call us to arrange pick up of supplies. Please see Encampment Supplies Needed for a list of needed items.
Head to Just Housing’s Paypal for the easiest way to give a financial contribution. Checks can also be made out to Just Housing. All donations go towards encampment support, but are not tax-deductible.
